Pegylated Mechano Growth Factor (PEG-MGF)

PEG-MGF, a specialized peptide derived from the IGF gene, plays a vital role in post-exercise recovery, effectively repairing damaged muscle tissues. It outperforms traditional IGF-1, which supports growth in children and anabolic activities in adults.

As polypeptide hormones, PEG-MGF and IGF-1 differ from myoblasts, the precursor cells developing into muscle fibers. PEG-MGF stimulates myoblast division and the maturation of muscle fibers, crucial for adult muscle growth.

Effectiveness

Initially, users of MGF faced the challenge of its short duration in the body. The introduction of PEG has significantly enhanced the stability, allowing MGF to remain effective longer post-injection. By integrating a polyethylene glycol molecule, PEG-MGF promotes efficient circulation in the bloodstream.

Solubility & Storage

It is advisable to dilute Lyophilised PEG-MGF with sterilized water and, if necessary, further in an aqueous solution. While it remains stable at room temperature for up to 3-4 weeks, it must be stored below -18°C when desiccated. Once reconstituted, PEG-MGF should be kept at 4°C and shielded from light for 10-14 days, with any long-term storage needing to maintain temperatures below -18°C to prevent damage from freeze-thaw cycles.

Results & Benefits

The transient nature of MGF necessitates the inclusion of Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) for enhanced stability and duration in the body. PEG-MGF fosters continual production of satellite cells in muscle fibers, instigating hypertrophy—the growth of muscle size due to cell expansion. Additionally, these cells facilitate muscle regeneration by maintaining a reserve that can rapidly activate in response to injuries.

Furthermore, PEG-MGF promotes nitrogen retention, crucial for measuring protein availability, a fundamental nutrient essential for muscle construction. By enhancing muscle protein synthesis, it supports muscle growth by repairing micro-tears incurred during exercise, resulting in increased size and strength.

Side Effects

Although thoroughly studied, Pegylated Mechano Growth Factor has not revealed significant side effects, maintaining a good safety profile.
