GHRP-2 (Growth Hormone-Releasing Peptide 2)
Commonly referred to as pralmorelin, GHRP-2 is a potent growth hormone secretagogue utilized primarily for diagnostic purposes. This formulation enhances your body’s production of growth hormone (GH), also known as somatotropin or human growth hormone). GHRP-2 distinguishes itself as one of the most effective agents within the GHRP family, outperforming Ipamorelin and GHRP-6 by approximately 30% in efficiency.
The mechanism of action involves stimulating the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, resulting in a remarkable increase in GH secretion, often by 7 to 15 times. Other GH stimulators, such as those based on gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and amino acid levels, typically yield a mere 2 to 3 times increase.
Located centrally in the brain, the pituitary gland, approximately the size of a pea and weighing about 0.018 oz (0.5 grams), plays a crucial role in regulating the secretion of hormones across various endocrine glands.
The hypothalamus, a key component of the diencephalon in the forebrain, serves as the main hub of the autonomic nervous system (ANS).
